Acupuncture is one of the most widely-used medical practices in the world.

Originating in China over 2,000 years ago, it is a safe and effective medical treatment that promotes natural healing of the body.

Acupuncture is based upon the belief that regulating, circulating, and balancing the energy in the body relieves pain and promotes optimal health and vitality. The treatment involves gently inserting hair-thin, single-use, sterile needles into specific points around the body. The points are chosen for each individual based on symptoms presented, constitution, and health history. The skillful stimulation of the needles directs and rebalances the energy of the body, thus promoting the desired positive effect.

Acupuncture is a deeply relaxing experience. Red Lotus Health provides a spa-like experience with a tranquil ambiance, soothing music, and hot rocks to promote the release of stress while encouraging your body to heal.  You will leave with a sense of deep peace and calm, and your body will love the results.

Jenni Lund, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Jenni holds a Masters in Acupuncture, is a Licensed Acupuncturist, and a Functional Medicine Practitioner

Her epiphany to become an acupuncturist came in 1997 in Kathmandu, Nepal. After receiving her 200-hour yoga certification in 1995, she embarked on a nine-month pilgrimage to India and Nepal, seeking out the roots of yoga and wanting to immerse herself in the practice.

It was during one of her classes that she was exposed to Chinese Medical philosophy, a moment that ultimately changed the course of her life. After receiving a Master (Yogacharya) Certificate from the Yoga Training Centre in Varanasi, India for completing 1,000 hours of yogic training, she returned to the United States, and enrolled at the NW Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle, WA, completing her Masters in Acupuncture in 2001.

In 2018 Jenni began studying Functional Medicine with the Kalish Institute of Functional Medicine. She continues her studies with Dan Kalish as her mentor and works mainly correcting Adrenal Function and restoring Digestive Health.

Jenni specializes in pain management and relief (including arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraines and headaches, MS, injuries, sciatica, low back, neck, shoulders and pain caused by tension), as well as allergies and asthma, colds and flu, any kind of chronic inflammation, stress reduction, anxiety, and overall well-being. She also enjoys working with, and is successful at treating fertility issues, providing cancer support and preventive medicine, and working with persons who have 'tried everything' and are still not healing.

Her passion for all aspects of her work comes from living a life that has asked her to follow her heart. In doing so, she shares with you her joy for health and vitality, while gently encouraging you to restore your health, and live life to the fullest.

Personal Statement

My childhood experiences sent me on a path of discovery and exploration. On my quest to learn about the world, I was eventually led back to my Self -  first through yoga and then via acupuncture. I deeply believe in the power of the body, when balanced, to heal itself. My passion to understand this more deeply is my life’s work.

My son and I love to play, do yoga, and travel the world with family and friends. Together, we find happiness swimming in blue, tropical oceans, skiing on snow-covered mountains, and experiencing the freedom of the unknown.

Meet TIA

Five Element Acupuncture with Tia at Red Lotus Health!

Tianna Hendrickson, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Tia holds a Masters Degree of Five-Element Acupuncture and is a practitioner of Plant Spirit Medicine and Flower Essence Remedies.

As a lover of knowledge, health, wellness, and people, Tia’s passion is assisting others in becoming the greatest version of themselves! Tia believes that being an adept healer means to also be doing the work herself. She is continually learning, reflecting, and growing; finding balance within herself in order to inspire balance in others.

Tia was bon in Southern California, and moved all around the states, last residing in Boulder, Colorado before journeying to the Big Island. She loves African dance, playing drums and piano, painting, practicing yoga, and connecting with nature. She decided to become an Acupuncturist after taking classes on The Five Elements and Plant Spirit Healing and receiving the medicine herself. As a patient, Tia’s life transformed and she knew she wanted to share this magic with the world.

Tia specializes in Five Element Acupuncture and Plant Spirit Healing. Just as the Five Elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood) can be found in nature, so can they be found in each of us. When the elements manifest in a balanced and harmonious state within, we experience health, harmony, and the joy in being exactly who we are. As the practitioner, Tia is trained to see and understand the relationships of the elements within the patient; therefore diagnosing and treating the root of the disharmony at the level of mind, body, and spirit. Plant Spirit Healing is an energy medicine that deepens the Five Element Acupuncture treatments yet can also be administered on its own.
